Introduction
Paulo Rúben, artistically known as Paul Reuben, was born on October 11, 1990, on the stunning island of Madeira. From an early age, music and mixing became part of his identity, influenced by his father and uncle—both passionate DJs devoted to cassettes and vinyl—who transformed an abandoned family home into an underground nightclub. This vibrant musical atmosphere marked the beginning of his love for sound.
The First Steps
It all began at home, where his father hosted gatherings with friends—each playing a specific role in the party—and even his mother joined in the fun. Although the space eventually shut down due to its unofficial nature, the passion for music lived on through weddings and private parties, shaping Paul Reuben’s musical taste from a young age. The musical flame faded for a while… but never fully died.
Discovery and Training
In 2009, he had his first opportunity to perform live at “KOOL KLUB KAFE,” followed by appearances at events like “MEGA MATINÉ.” In 2010, Paul Reuben made a defining choice: he pursued DJing and Music Production at New Generation Academy, mentored by DJ Dual and Victor C, instead of getting his driver’s license — a clear sign of his dedication to music...
